Small Sources Part 2

As a continuation to "Small Sources".
Note: This is a fictional work, don't take anything in it as a fact.

They both looked at eachother for a long while. He had tears in his eyes. He looked away at the window, and said "Im sure of that you at some point have been mentally moved by music".
"And that you, like many other, have wondered what the meaning of life is."
The man nodded - the statement that his old friend had made was a part of every human's life. He was still shocked, though - this man, that he thought that he knew so well, had actually found, and explored - alien life.

"They are very much like us" he countinued - "and if you take your time, and look at the enviroment, you'll see that they really is the only natural form of life that would be sustainable on that planet. It's a complicated lifeform, with it's orgin, just like earth-life, unknown."
"Why do you claim them to be much like us?" - "They are just a few molecules big, and the only thing they do, is to radient sounds and magnetism?"
"Because they have many things in common with humanity"
"How do you mean?"
"I mean that they think very much like us"
"Tell me - how could they possibly think, when there are so many studies that shows that you'd need at least a mass equal to the brain of an insect to even generate a readable result of brain-activity?"
"Because it is just like you say - they think, one of them couldn't possibly hold a thought. But as we got closer to the poles of the planet, we discovered a more organized form of them. They were still the same species, but the planet's strong electro-magnetic field made them stronger. Imagine resonance."
"Explain more - what do you mean?"
"When two or more objects have the same level of resonance, or a overtune that can be divided between them, they tend to get stronger. Since all of the organisms were on the same planet, they all shared the same origin, and the same oscillation by default. Here on earth, we have two sexes - male and female. And in order to reproduce ourselves, the natural way - we need the opposite sex to do so.
They, on the other hand - had frequencies. And all witch share the same sex, or have the same overtone were attracted to eachother. Instead of love - they had music"
"Wait - you mean that they reproduce by having the same frequency? And what happend to the way they think? Everything is all very interresting, but it's hard to get a clear view on how this is all connected..."
"Im getting to the way they think - but in order to explain that, I need you to understand how that is even possible." He wasn't looking out of the window anymore. His tears was replaced by determination.
"Go on, Im not doubting your capability of explaining." what is he really thinking of?

"We are humans, and the only non-physical thing that without any earlier interferences can move us, is music.  We share both love and music with them - but their passion for music is much more like the way our passion for love is. And our passion for music is much more like their passion for love. It's all the same - love can't exist without music, and music can't exist without love.
Why do you think that whales sing for eachother? Or dolphines beats their tails in the same frequency as their partner? Why do birds sing to impress their female counterpart? Why is it, that every example in our animal-kingdom - where there is a form of unconditional relationship, there is also a kind of music?"
"I've never thought of it, but the idea is... Fascinating."

"The gravitation on their planet is low - the opposite that you wold imagine from a 1,6 times bigger-than-earth planet, made almost entirely out of iron. The rotation of the planet is high. This, in combination with the nearby pulsar - create a very special place in the universe. They are so small, and contains so little mass that they are weightless in the atmosphere. The pulsar - their counterpart to our sun, produces a massive, fast spinning electro-magnetic field, that gives them movement. Our sun creates light, that heats the gasses in our atmosphere. It's a form of movement, and movement equals energy. Energy equals ways of gaining mass. Understand this: they are not supernatural, they are the most logical form of life that is sustainable on that planet." He walked out of the room, and fetched a glass of water for him and his friend.

"We can see eachother, due to the fotons that our sun emmits. They can feel eachother, due to their magnetic fields. They can hear eachother due to a mutation in the very same magnetic field.
We've developed love through our evolution, they've developed music. Music to us is a byproduct from love. Love for them is a byproduct from music. We can do much more than just love and create music.
As I said - they are attracted by the same frequency, or a common overtone. They tend to 'catch' eachother with their fields. But this seems to only happen near the poles, probably, as I said, due to the planet's electro-magnetic field. Do you understand how they come together, and why they do so?"
"Yes, I understand, but I still don't understand how they can think like us."

"Have you ever heard of "Hiveminders.org"? A site in the early 2020 revolutionized the way information was gathered and shared between individuals? It relied on crowd-intelligence, and via that, it helped the scientific community of that time to organize itself into solving that times biggest questions. The organisms on this planet have this built in to their natural way of beeing. They communicate with hundreds of their nearest partners, by beeing in their fields. In this way, they collaborate. They are a direct impression of what humanity has - internet. They collaborate with eachother to create music.
We could hear their music, and asked eachother if they could hear ours..."
He looked at the window once again. His voice cracked down when he said the next sentence.
"... So we transmitted music to them."
